Good Work: Building Great Results with iRestore & KSDK

“Since partnering with KSDK, we’ve seen tremendous success. We’ve seen our stock rise in the local community as far as recognition, and customers feeling a little more at ease when dealing with somebody they’ve recognized and seen on TV,” says Kirk Kupsky, Owner of iRestore in St. Louis.

As the owner of iRestore St. Louis, a local general contractor specializing in roofing in the entire St. Louis metro area, Kirk Kupsky has big ambitions.

“In all reality, I want the iRestore lightning bolts to be as recognizable as McDonald’s Golden Arches,” says Kupsky. “When you see that lightning bolt, you know that job is being done by iRestore St. Louis.”

To help build brand awareness and generate leads, he was buying leads from places like Angie’s List and Yelp, but it wasn’t getting the job done. After partnering with Beth Susic, an account executive at TEGNA’s KSDK / 5 On Your Side, that all changed.

After just a year of the partnership, iRestore has seen business triple.

“Since partnering with KSDK, we’ve seen tremendous success. We’ve seen our stock rise in the local community regarding recognition, and customers feel a little more at ease when dealing with somebody they’ve recognized and seen on TV,” says Kupsky.

That’s because Kupsky has been a fixture on KSDK’s Show Me St. Louis, the station’s lifestyle show, and has run ads alongside news content, including severe weather alerts, on both linear and streaming platforms.

“It wasn’t just a one-off situation where we just put out a commercial and hoped for the best,” says Kupsky. “It was a multi-headed hydra of marketing campaigns everywhere. It was a great success and a job well done.”

The job was so well done. Website traffic skyrocketed 651%, the phone was ringing off the hook, and he had to hire new employees to handle all of the new business.

“As an advertiser, I value my reputation being put on Show Me St. Louis,” says Kupsky. “Some of the great things we’ve done together have gotten me a lot of good feedback from the community. All in all, Show Me St. Louis has generated a lot of quality leads, but more importantly, we got to help many people.”

When all is said and done, Kupsky is now a firm believer in the power of TV and encourages others who are looking to build their brand and generate leads to do the same.

“For advertisers, TV seems really expensive,” says Kupsky. “But it’s really not an expense, it’s an investment. If you look at it in that aspect and follow through with your marketing plan and let the people at TEGNA do their job, you’ll see the same jump I did.”
