TEGNA Stations are Going Over the Top With New Streaming Apps: What Does This Mean for Advertisers?

As streaming viewership continues its exponential rise, TEGNA is going over the top as well. We’re thrilled to announce the rollout of new and improved over-the-top (OTT) streaming apps for our 64 stations in 51 markets. 11Alive+ and WTHR13+ are piloting the launch, with additional stations following suit, and are available on Roku and Amazon Fire TV – the two most used OTT streaming devices in the country.
This new generation of streaming apps offers our viewers access to the best of TEGNA, including 24/7 access to breaking live and on-demand local news, newscast replays, extended live coverage, weather, and station specials and investigations.
Additionally, viewers will have access to local sports shows hosted by Locked On Podcast Network, VERIFY’s new weekly show dedicated to stopping the spread of misinformation, and Daily Blast LIVE, TEGNA’s interactive, live daily show for television and streaming, which covers news, entertainment, culture, sports, and the latest trending stories. Simply put, it’s everything our viewers love about local, whenever they want it.
