As we approach some of the biggest shopping days of the year – Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday – research shows that Small Business Saturday is poised to be anything but small.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In fact, American Express found<\/a> that the shopping holiday reached an all-time high in 2021 with an estimated $23.3 billion in consumer spending. Meanwhile, the National Retail Federation found<\/a> that 51 million shoppers participated and spent an estimated $305 per person.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The outlook is just as good for 2022, even as threats of a recession loom. According to ActiveCampaign<\/a>, 30% of consumers want to support small over big-box stores because they are aware of the struggles small businesses are facing. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Similarly, Constant Contact found<\/a> that 50% of Americans plan to participate in Small Business Saturday this year, and 72% of those surveyed said they plan to support small.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
