Gannett Names Charles Nutt, Ketan Gandhi to Executive Positions in New Jersey
McLEAN, VA – Charles W. Nutt, formerly president and publisher of The Courier News in Bridgewater, NJ, has been named president and publisher of The Daily Journal in Vineland, NJ. He replaces Nancy Monaghan, who has retired.
Nutt is returning to Vineland, where he was editor, then president, publisher and editor, from 1998 to 2000.
Replacing Nutt as publisher in Bridgewater is Ketan Gandhi, who will retain his responsibilities as president and publisher at the Home News Tribune in East Brunswick, NJ.

Nutt began his career as a reporter at the Bridgewater paper in 1972 after graduation from Syracuse University where he received a BA in English and an MA in Journalism. He worked at Bridgewater through 1979 before leaving to work at the New York Times and The Express in Easton, PA.
He returned to Gannett as executive editor in Bridgewater in 1981 and was editor at the Star-Gazette in Elmira from 1990 to 1998 when he was named editor in Vineland.
Gandhi joined Gannett in 1986 as accounting manager at the Valley News Dispatch in Tarentum, PA, then owned by Gannett. He became controller in Elmira, and controller and director of finance at the North Hills News Record, then a Gannett newspaper in Pennsylvania. In 1996, he became controller at the Press & Sun Bulletin in Binghamton, NY.
In 1997, Gandhi became vice president of Finance at the Asbury Park (NJ) Press. A year later he added group controller to his title. He was named president and publisher of the Home News Tribune in 2005.
He graduated from Bombay University in India with a BS in Commerce and received an MBA from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
