Gannett Acquires Stock of Internet Advertising Technology Firm, PointRoll, Inc.

McLEAN, VA – Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) today acquired the stock of PointRoll, Inc., the leading rich media marketing company that provides internet user friendly, non-intrusive technology that lets advertisers expand their space online and receive a more measurable impact from their online advertising campaigns.

“PointRoll, just like USA TODAY, has been built on ingenuity and imagination,” said Craig Moon, president and publisher of USA TODAY. “We believe their clever, popular approach to interactive advertising and their continuous innovation will be a nice fit. Saridakis was PointRoll’s chief operating officer. Jules Gardner, who was the company’s founder and CEO, announced he is leaving the company.
