Gannett Completes Sale of Multimedia Security Service
ARLINGTON, Va. — The previously announced sale of the assets of Multimedia Security Service, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Gannett’s Multimedia Cablevision, to Protection One Alarm Monitoring, Inc. of Culver City, Calif., was completed today.
The purchase price for the alarm security service is approximately $233 million in cash.
Gannett is a nationwide news and information company that publishes 87 daily newspapers, including USA TODAY, and USA WEEKEND, a newspaper magazine. Gannett also operates 20 television stations and cable television systems in five states.
