Gannett Digital Names Kevin LeFew vice President of Technology and Operations
McLEAN, VA – Kevin S. LeFew, director of Information Technology for USATODAY.com, has been named vice president of Technology and Operations for Gannett Digital.
“I am exceedingly pleased that Kevin has agreed to take on this role at Gannett Digital,” said Jack Williams, president of Gannett Digital. “He has a proven track record of technology operations and development management. Kevin’s leadership skills and unique qualifications made him the clear choice for us.”
LeFew joined USATODAY.com in 2002 as director of Information Technology. He worked for IBM and Honeywell Inc., before becoming senior team lead for Veda Incorporated in 1989. In 1996, he became senior systems engineer at Lockheed Martin and joined SAIC/Boeing Information Services, Inc. in 1997 as an Advanced Applications Development manager. In 2000, he was managing consultant for Xpedior, a portion of which was acquired by Acumen in 2001 at which point he held the position of manager, client lead.
LeFew has a B.A. degree in mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA in Information Systems management from George Washington University.
