Gannett Executive Promotions Announced; Wimbush, Henn Named vice Presidents

McLEAN, VA – Two executive promotions were announced today by Gracia Martore, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI).

* ㄀Jane Ann Wimbush will become vice president of Internal Audit. Wimbush was director of Internal Audit.

* ㄀Dale A. Henn will become vice president of Capital Appropriations and Facilities. Henn was director of Capital Appropriations and Planning.

“Jane Ann is a knowledgeable, energetic executive who is tops in her field and executes at the highest level,” Martore said. “She is a leader, a mentor and a key member of our financial team.”

Wimbush served in various positions with Protiviti Inc. and its predecessor from 1996 until joining Gannett in 2003. She also has worked for Johnson International Inc., Polo/Ralph Lauren in Munich, Germany, and the Society for Central Asian Studies in Oxford, England. She has a BA from the University of Arizona and a Certificate Award in accounting from the University of California at Los Angeles.

“Dale is one of the hardest working, most reliable people I know. I always can count on Dale to get the job done, whatever the job is,” said Martore. “This promotion is well deserved.”

Henn has been an assistant treasurer and director of Capital Appropriations for Gannett. He joined the company in 1977 as assistant controller of the Visalia (CA) Times-Delta. Henn is a graduate of Principia College in Elsah, IL, and earned an MBA from the University of Rochester in 1982.
