Gannett Names Craig Etheridge Senior Vice President of Digital and Mobile Sales for Gannett and USA TODAY

McLEAN, VA – Craig Etheridge has been named senior vice president of Digital and Mobile Sales for Gannett and USA TODAY, Mary Murcko, Gannett’s president of Sales, announced today. Etheridge will be responsible for driving national advertising sales revenue across all of Gannett’s digital assets, including USA TODAY and USA WEEKEND. In addition, he will sell digital inventory to national advertisers for Gannett Broadcast’s 23 television stations and U.S. Community Publishing’s 81 local media properties. Etheridge has served as vice president of Mobile Advertising Sales for the company since 2010.

“Craig has proven to be a strategic sales leader with the ability to drive growth and ensure success for his clients. He has a firm understanding of the strengths of Gannett’s digital assets and USA TODAY’s redesigned suite of digital and mobile products. We know Craig will be a tremendous asset to the national sales team,” said Murcko.

Prior to joining Gannett, Etheridge held several sales leadership positions within The Weather Channel, including vice president of Mobile Advertising Sales; national vice president of Digital Advertising Sales, and various roles within the sales strategy team. Earlier in his career, he was one of the original sales executives managing the launch of in 1996.

Etheridge earned his bachelor’s degree in geography and political science at Radford University in Virginia. He is a member of the Mobile Marketing Association and the IAB.
