Gannett Places 2000 Annual Report and Proxy Statement on the the Web

ARLINGTON, VA – Gannett Co., Inc. will be mailing its Annual Report for 2000 and its 2001 proxy statement to shareholders on Friday, March 23. Both the annual report and proxy statement are available now on its web site, www.gannett.com.

To access the documents, look under “On the Street” and click on annual reports or proxy statement. Then click on the appropriate document.
