Gannett to Webcast First-Quarter 2005 Earnings Conference Call

McLEAN, VA – Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE:GCI) said today that its first-quarter 2005 earnings conference call with financial analysts will be held on Tuesday, April 12 at 10:00 a.m. ET. The call will be accessible live to the media and general public via Webcast and through a limited number of listen-only, dial-in conference lines.

The company’s earnings announcement will be released to news outlets and wire services before the market opens on April 12. Materials related to the call will be available at that time through the Investor Relations section of Gannett’s Web site, www.gannett.com.

To access the conference call, dial 1-888-578-6632 at least 10 minutes prior to the scheduled 10:00 a.m. start of the call. International callers should dial 1-719-955-1564. The confirmation code for the conference call is 3828904. Replay of the conference call will be available about two hours after the live call on Tuesday, April 12 through Tuesday, April 19.
