Gannett to Webcast Presentation to Analysts on March 22

ARLINGTON, VA – Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) will provide a live Webcast of its presentation at the March meeting of the Media and Entertainment Analysts of New York, the company said today.

The Webcast will take place at 12:45 p.m. on Thursday, March 22, 2001.

To listen to the live Webcast, or any part of it, access the company’s Web site, www.gannett.com, and click on the link to the Webcast. The Webcast will be available through RealAudio or Windows Media. Allow at least 15 minutes to access Gannett’s home page and complete the links before the Webcast begins.

The Webcast will be available at www.gannett.com through March 30, 2001.
