Jeffrey Heinz Named Vice President of Investor Relations at Gannett
McLEAN, VA – Jeffrey Heinz has been named vice president of Investor Relations at Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI), Gracia C. Martore, Gannett president and chief executive officer, announced today. Heinz has served as director of Investor Relations for the company since 2003.
“I’ve worked with Jeff for nearly nine years and I couldn’t be more pleased to announce his well-deserved promotion. He has been an important part of our team here at Gannett and plays a critical role in effectively communicating the strong fundamentals of our company and our new strategic direction to our investors and the investment community,” said Martore. “I continue to look forward to working with Jeff and Victoria Harker, our new chief financial officer, to expand our shareholder base as Gannett transforms itself from being great in the traditional media world to being exceptional in the new digital era.”
Prior to joining Gannett, Heinz was the managing director of Investor Relations at SLM Corporation (Sallie Mae), where he was the primary contact with the investment community. He has a bachelor of science in finance from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Heinz lives in Vienna, VA, with his wife Sharon and two children.
