Joyce Jenereaux Named President and Publisher of Detroit Free Press

McLEAN, VA – Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) today named Joyce Jenereaux president and publisher of the Detroit Free Press, effective May 16, 2015. Jenereaux will also retain her responsibilities as president of, which represents all of Gannett’s community publishing properties in Michigan, and serves as business agent for The Detroit News.

Jenereaux, a Detroit native, started her media career in 1990 as a financial analyst at Earlier, she earned her CPA designation at the public accounting firm of Deloitte.
