Kment Named Newspaper Division Classified Advertising Director
MCLEAN, Va. – Mike Kment, former vice president/sales for Lee Enterprises, has been named director/classified advertising for the Gannett Newspaper Division.
Kment replaces Chuck Cornelius, who was named classified advertising director of The Arizona Republic at Phoenix in February.
Kment joined Lee in 1983 and served in a variety of executive positions including sales and marketing director for the Bismarck (N.D.) Tribune, director of Lee’s national and regional sales operations, and as the company’s vice president of sales. A graduate of the University of Oregon, he is a past recipient of Advertising Age’s Marketing Excellence Award and Lee’s President’s Award, the company’s highest performance honor. Active in national and state newspaper associations and task forces, Kment also addressed the World Association of Newspapers Marketing Conference in Berlin, Germany in 2000.
