Mark Cornetta Named President and General Manager of K*USA-TV

McLEAN, VA – Mark Cornetta today was named president and general manager of K*USA-TV, the Gannett-owned NBC affiliate in Denver.

Cornetta replaces Roger Ogden, who was named president and CEO of Gannett Broadcasting, effective July 15. Ogden replaces Craig Dubow who was named president and CEO of Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI), also effective July 15.

“Mark is a proven leader with a great track record of success. As a member of the management team at 9News, he has been a great contributor to the station, beyond his strong achievements as the head of our sales team. His experience in this market and dedication to 9News are a winning combination,” Dubow said.

Cornetta was named general sales manager of K*USA in 1992. He was given the additional title of VP/Broadcast in 2003. He had served as the local sales manager and national sales manager of K*USA-TV. He joined K*USA-TV in December 1987 as an account executive. Prior to joining the station, Mark was an account executive for KCNC-TV in Denver from 1984 through 1987. He worked as a media buyer at DiIorio Wergeles Advertising in New York and as a research intern at Katz Communications in New York prior to moving to Colorado.

Mark is a 1982 graduate of St. John’s University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications Marketing. He is married to Lori and has a daughter Claire.
