New Publisher Named at Vincennes (Ind.) Sun-Commercial
McLEAN, Va. – Vickie K. Palmer has been named publisher of the Vincennes (Ind.) Sun-Commercial, it was announced today.
She succeeds Michael E. Quayle, who resigned to pursue other business interests.
“We wish Mike well in his future endeavors,” said Gary L. Watson, president of the Gannett Newspaper Division. “And we are delighted to have Vickie step up to the publisher role. She brings a wealth of community and newspaper knowledge to the job.”
A 23-year employee of the Sun-Commercial, Palmer had served as director of operations since 1998. Previously, she held sales and management posts in the advertising department.
Quayle had served as publisher since 1990.
