Roger Watson Named Publisher at the Marietta Times
ARLINGTON, VA – Roger Watson has been named president and publisher of The Marietta (Ohio) Times, it was announced today by the Newspaper Division.
Watson succeeds Stephen B. Reynolds, who earlier was named to a similar position at The Times at Gainesville, Ga.
Watson previously was editor and general manager of the Black Mountain (N.C.) News, where he has served since 1996. He previously held newsroom positions at the McDowell (N.C.) News and the Morganton (N.C.) New Herald.
“Roger has done a fine job in building the Black Mountain News and is ready to assume greater responsibility,” said Gary L. Watson, president of the Newspaper Division.
Watson is a native of Lenoir, N.C., and a graduate of Appalachian State University.
