TEGNA Completes Acquisition of Three Sander Media TV Stations Following FCC Approval

McLEAN, VA – TEGNA Inc. (NYSE: TGNA) announced today it has completed its acquisition of three Sander Media LLC television stations – KGW in Portland, Oregon, WHAS in Louisville, Kentucky and KMSB in Tucson, Arizona – following approval from the Federal Communications Commission last week. TEGNA Media has serviced these stations under shared services and similar arrangements since December of 2013.

All three stations are part of TEGNA Media, the largest independent station group of major network affiliates in the top 25 markets, reaching approximately one-third of all television households nationwide.
