Gannett Sales Executive of the Year Finalists Announced
ARLINGTON, Va. — The finalists for the 1997 Gannett Sales Executive of the Year award were announced today by Richard L. Clapp, senior vice president/human resources. They are:
— Jim Chauvin, account executive, USA WEEKEND in Detroit, Mich.;
— Debra Galbraith, major account executive, Rochester (N.Y.) Democrat and Chronicle;
— Heather Holcomb, account executive, USA TODAY in Arlington, Va.;
— Janet Lewis, sales manager/marketplace, USA TODAY in Arlington, Va.;
— Suzanne McCoy, regional sales manager, KPNX-TV in Phoenix, Ariz.;
— Ken Polasky, account executive, KUSA-TV in Denver, Colo.; and
— Barbara Stahl, senior account executive, USA WEEKEND in Chicago, Ill.
The winner will be announced Wednesday, Jan. 14, 1998, at a reception to be held at corporate headquarters in Arlington, Va.
Judges for the competition were: John Curley, Gannett chairman and CEO; Doug McCorkindale, president and vice chairman; Carolyn Vesper, senior vice president/advertising and associate publisher, USA TODAY; Cecil Walker, president and CEO, Gannett Broadcasting; Gary Watson, president, Gannett Newspaper Division; Carleton Rosenburgh, senior vice president, Gannett Newspaper Division; and Clapp.
