Shareholders Re-Elect Three Board Members
ARLINGTON, Va. — Gannett shareholders today re-elected three members of the board of directors at Gannett’s annual meeting held at the company’s corporate headquarters here.
They are: Drew Lewis, Thomas A. Reynolds Jr. and Dolores D. Wharton.
Directors Andrew F. Brimmer, Rosalynn Carter and Rollan D. Melton are retiring from the board.
Earlier today, Gannett’s directors declared a regular quarterly dividend of 36 cents per share, payable on July 1, 1997, to shareholders of record on June 6, 1997.
Gannett is a nationwide news and information company that publishes 90 daily newspapers, including USA TODAY, and USA WEEKEND, a newspaper magazine. Gannett also operates 16 television stations, five radio stations, cable television systems in five states and alarm security services.
