Gannett Digital Names Abigail Horrigan vice President of Marketing

McLEAN, VA -Abigail Horrigan, formerly of FoodFit.com and America Online, Inc., has been named vice president of Marketing for Gannett Digital, it was announced today.

“We are extremely pleased to have Abigail on our team,” said Jack Williams, president of Gannett Digital. “Her extensive background in both the marketing and digital worlds makes her a valuable member of Gannett Digital. I am confident that she will excel in her new role and contribute greatly to Gannett’s future success.”

Horrigan has been vice president of Business Development and Advertising Sales for FoodFit.com since 2005. Previously, Horrigan worked at AOL, which she joined in 1997 as program manager. She was promoted a short time later to vice president of Business Development, Interactive Marketing. In 2002, she became vice president of Sales Development, Interactive Marketing, and was named vice president of Marketing and Promotions, Life Management/Community Programming, two years later. She also has worked in marketing at MCI Telecommunications, Woelfel Research and the National Geographic Society.

Horrigan is a graduate of the Georgetown University, and has a master’s degree in Public and Private Management, Marketing from the Yale School of Management.
