Gannett Names Jay Bachmann Assistant Controller

McLEAN, VA – Jay Bachmann was today named assistant controller of Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI). Bachmann was senior vice president and controller at Lafarge North America, Inc. Prior to that he held financial and controllership positions at two major divisions of Lafarge.

“We are thrilled to have Jay aboard Gannett’s financial team,” said Gracia Martore, Gannett’s executive vice president and chief financial officer. “We believe his experience in the private sector and in public accounting will benefit him in his new role and add value to the overall team.”

Bachmann received his BSBA from Georgetown University and is a CPA.
