GMTI Acquires Assets of AutoChooser from Pentawave, Inc.
Cincinnati, OH — Gannett Media Technologies International (GMTI) announced today that it has acquired the assets of AutoChooser from Pentawave, Inc., of Scottsdale, AZ. Terms of the transaction were undisclosed. The acquisition includes the proprietary rights to the AutoChooser software products, facilities, ASP/hosting and customer support operations which will be combined with the CarsPlus product line of GMTI’s Celebro division. The AutoChooser staff will join GMTI and work out of the Scottsdale location.

The acquisition furthers GMTI’s reach into the Application Service Provider (ASP) market sector for the Internet-based production and distribution of classified advertising and specialty publications. With the addition of AutoChooser, GMTI’s ASP customer base will increase by more than 100 newspapers and 708 auto dealers. This, in addition to GMTI’s Celebro HomesPlus customer base of 2,800 real estate companies and more than 50 newspaper clients, will make GMTI one of the leading providers of ASP/hosting and ad production services to newspaper advertisers nationwide.
