Shareholders Re-Elect Three Board Members
ARLINGTON, Va. — Gannett shareholders today re-elected three members of the board of directors at Gannett’s annual meeting held at the company’s corporate headquarters here.
They are: Stuart T.K. Ho, Josephine P. Louis and Douglas H. McCorkindale.
Director Dolores Wharton is retiring from the board, as she has reached the mandatory board retirement age of 70.
Earlier today, Gannett’s directors declared a regular quarterly dividend of 19 cents per share, payable on July 1, 1998 to shareholders of record on June 5, 1998.
Gannett is a nationwide news and information company that publishes 87 daily newspapers, including USA TODAY, and USA WEEKEND, a newspaper magazine. Gannett also operates 20 television stations and cable television systems in five states.
