Shareholders Re-Elect Four Gannett Board Members
ARLINGTON, Va. – Gannett shareholders today re-elected four members of the board of directors at Gannett’s annual meeting at the company’s corporate headquarters here.
They are:
Meredith A. Brokaw
Peter B. Clark
John J. Curley
Josephine P. Louis.
Directors Brokaw, Clark, Curley and Louis will serve until the annual shareholders’ meeting in 1999. Carl T. Rowan, who has served on Gannett’s board for six years, has reached the mandatory retirement age and retires today from the board.
Earlier today, Gannett’s directors declared a regular quarterly dividend of 35 cents per share, payable July 1, 1996, to shareholders of record on June 7, 1996.
Gannett is a nationwide news and information company that publishes 92 daily newspapers, including USA TODAY, and USA WEEKEND, a newspaper magazine.
Gannett also has entertainment programming, operates 15 television stations, 13 radio stations, cable television systems in five states, alarm security services and the largest outdoor advertising company in North America.
