At TEGNA, we’re thankful for many things: our people, our partners, and the local businesses that help us serve the greater good of our communities, day in and day out. Here’s part two of a look back on everything good that we’re thankful for in 2022.
In 2022, we launched a new generation of streaming+ apps available on Roku and FireTV. Apps like WKYC+ now offer 24/7 access to breaking live, on-demand, and extended local news coverage, weather reports, station specials, investigations, sports, and lifestyle shows. Chris Fehrmann, VP of Digital Products, details how our OTT+ apps allow our partners to reach new viewers and increase frequency, providing tremendous value to their media plans. Thank you, Chris!
Chris also appeared in Cynopsis Media’s Morning Read to announce TEGNA’s TAG Certification Against Fraud, which validates what we have been doing from the onset: providing a brand-safe, fraud-free environment that delivers business outcomes for our advertisers. Thank you again, Chris!
We also launched new targeting capabilities in 2022. Dave Neway, VP of Ad Sales Marketing, explains how our new, first-party audience data platform alleviates pain points to help your brand make meaningful connections with high-value customers. Thank you, Dave!
Dave Neway also shared a new way to segment millennials with his key takeaways from our original research study with Provoke Insights, Mastering the Millennial Mindset of Today: A Post-Pandemic Deep-Dive into Millennial Attitudes and Behaviors. Thank you again, Dave!
We also partnered with Provoke Insights to bring you Unlocking the Car Buyer of Today, a 2022 TEGNA Research Study, which profiles today’s automotive consumer sentiment and intent toward the car-buying experience. Andrew Nieves, Senior Insights Manager, aims to help dealerships better understand today’s car owners and buyers with his five key takeaways from the study. Thank you, Andrew!
The wonderful Nicki Harkrider, Local Revenue Officer at TEGNA, joined The Center for Sales Strategy’s Improving Sales Performance podcast to talk about the importance of fostering a culture of engagement amongst your sales teams, having and maintaining your core purpose as a sales leader, and the power of staying “resilient through the fatigue of change.” Thank you, Nicki!
As TEGNA’s Vice President of Marketing, Meredith Conte has spoken with hundreds of our partners. She reflected on key learnings tied to data, streaming, the labor market, and the all-important trust factor. Thank you, Meredith!
In times of economic uncertainty, it’s important to remember that your company can survive and thrive by reacting positively to less-than-ideal circumstances. Michael Clifford, Local Sales Manager at TEGNA’s 11Alive in Atlanta, shares his key ingredients to help brands remain connected and top-of-mind with their customers when instinct may say to scale back marketing and advertising. Thank you, Michael!
With the holiday season upon us, Ryan Seickel, Manager of TEGNA Attribution, shares how our partners can take advantage of increased demand and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns with key metrics and insights into campaign performance. Thank you, Ryan!
Not only is November 19th National Adoption Day, but now, in Dallas and Fort Worth, it’s also Celebrate the Love Day in honor of WFAA’s program that shines a light on stories of adoption and ways the community can help. Alan Rose, Community Marketing Manager at WFAA, shares his personal connection to adoption and why he led the creation of such a special and award-winning program. Thank you, Alan!
With public trust, truth, and transparency top of mind for digital marketers, local news has emerged as one of the safest environments for advertisers. 11Alive’s Michael Villela discusses how local businesses can thrive by aligning content with digital news content, and how #TeamTEGNA can help. Thank you, Michael!
This NFL season has been nothing short of spectacular. But before the season started, Locked On’s Bryan Goldmark explained why TEGNA and Locked On have the perfect playbook in place for our partners – and why the combination of Linear TV and Podcasting can bring home the Lombardi trophy for your brand. Thank you, Bryan!
In this BIA Advisory Services podcast, our very own Jessica Daigle, Vice President of Sales Intelligence, chatted with BIA’s new Vice President of Forecasting & Analysis, Nicole Ovadia, about the importance of high-quality content and the challenges faced as attribution commands more respect in the conversation between buyers and sellers. Thank you, Jessica!
Today’s media landscape is as competitive as ever as media companies offer more marketing services to be a “one-stop-shop” partner for their clients. Jay Donovan, Director of Digital Sales & Training at TEGNA, discussed why TEGNA is taking a different route, avoiding the famous phrase “Jack of All Trades, Master of None.” Thank you, Jay!
For TEGNA, public trust, truth, and transparency have enormous value, and initiatives like VERIFY help extend the news-trust halo to brand advertisers by helping the public distinguish between true and false information.
